Persistent post traumatic headache (or post concussion syndrome).
These headaches are most common after a mild head injury. Most resolve in 3 months but some can persist for months or even years. The headache most often resembles tension type or migraines but they are different and need a different treatment approach. The headache is often accompanied by dizziness, difficulty concentrating, anxiety and sleep disturbances.
Assessment and treatment includes vestibular ocular movement and rehabilitation exercises.
1% Cephalgias
Cluster Headaches are the most well known of this group of headaches. Fortunately they are by far the smallest group but are the most severe. There are better treatments than ours for theses type of headaches. For this type of headache we will refer on to Specialist Headache Neurologists and more appropriate treatments.
